State of the Art Dental Hygiene
Ms. Arvie Malik and Ms. Ara Aguiar, present an intensive and practical workshop showing how a strong dental hygiene practice makes for healthy patients and a healthy office.
Participants will focus on clinically relevant information that is needed in a successful esthetic restorative or prosthodontic dental practice, and use that information as they perform their dentistry with the aid of the clinical microscope.

This invigorating one-day hands-on course allows the dental hygienist to be introduced to the newest technologies in the field of dental hygiene such as magnification, illumination, endoscopic procedures and laser therapy. You will “wet your appetite” for sophisticated technical adjuncts as well as develop advanced instrumentation skills and proper ergonomics to protect your health. Even if you never use these technologies again, the experience will greatly improve your treatment outcomes and ignite your passion for hygiene. Arvie Malik, R.D.H., B.S., practices periodontal therapies and is an oral health educator full time in a private restorative practice in Newport Beach, California. Ms. Malik, a graduate of Texas Women’s University. She is a dental hygiene instructor at West Los Angeles College
Ara Aguiar, R.D.H., M.B.A., is a full time faculty member in the department of Dental Hygiene of West Los Angeles College. She lectures to classes for hygienists and students, and is also an experienced dental management consultant.
Ms. Malik and Ms. Aguiar devote time to teaching at the Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute and other professional venues. Both are members of the American Dental Hygienists Association, the California Dental Hygiene Educators Association and many additional dental organizations.

The course will be held at 360 San Miguel Drive (intersection of Avocado and San Miguel), Suite 200 (second floor), Newport Beach, California. If you are driving, a parking lot adjoins our facility. We are within easy walking distance of the Four Seasons Hotel – Newport Beach and the Marriott Newport Beach Hotel and Spa. Maps are available.
Course hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
