
David Clark, DDS
Dr.
Clark initiated and is a past president of the Academy
of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry. The Academy is an international
association formed to advance the science and practice of
microendodontics, microperiodontics, microprosthodontics and
microdentistry. Dr. Clark is a member of the ADA and an associate
member of the AAE. He lectures and gives hands-on seminars
internationally on a variety of topics related to microscope-enhanced
dentistry. He is actively collaborating with leaders in clinical
materials and instrument arenas to deliver more precise and
more permanent dentistry.
Dr. Clark was the first to install ceiling
tracks to facilitate the use of a microscope in more than
one operatory. He has proposed and is publishing a completely
new approach to diagnosis and treatment of cracked teeth,
based on a new nomenclature and classification system for
enamel and dentinal cracks observed at 16x. He provides video,
still images and support to CRA (Clinical Research Associates)
for their international presentations in regards to the role
and impact of the clinical operating microscope in dentistry.
He has developed a simple method utilizing digital video,
mirrors and retraction to perform and record the microscopic
portion of the comprehensive new patient examination.
Dr. Clark is a 1986 graduate of the University
of Washington School of Dentistry. He maintains a microscope-centered
restorative practice in Tacoma, Washington USA.
